We are excited to announce our continued partnership with Hounslow Action for Youth Association (HAY) to deliver an 8-week entrepreneurship programme at Kingsley Academy.
HAY has been a cornerstone in supporting young people in the Hounslow area, offering a variety of activities and programmes designed to empower youth and foster their personal and professional growth. We are thrilled to continue our collaboration with them on their initiatives and look forward to the positive impact it will have on the students they work with.
It’s inspiring to see some of our previous students, such as Charanlen Gurowar, thrive in their entrepreneurial endeavours. Charanlen, who runs Emmxkayy—a fashion, jewellery, and accessories business—was a standout participant last year. She showcased her products at our Winter 2023 pop-up event in December, held next to Fortnum and Mason on Piccadilly. You can follow her journey on Instagram at @emmxkayy_.
At our 2022 Winter Fair, we had the honour of our VIP Patricia Hamzahee handing out certificates to our students. It was a memorable event that highlighted the achievements of our young entrepreneurs.
Bijal, the Deputy Director of HAY, shared her experience from the previous cohort:
“… Kusheema delivered at their pace, provided support to individuals, and had some great ideas to help them develop their ideas. She used a more interactive approach, understanding that asking questions in a group setting or presenting for long periods wouldn’t work. Overall, the feedback from colleagues, young people, and partners was very positive.”
