An open letter to UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson which urges the government to do more to support young people into employment and careers was signed by Ultra Education CEO Julian ‘The Ultrapreneur’ Hall.
The letter, supported by almost 90 experts in child and youth services, was also signed by representatives from the Youth Futures Foundation, the chief executive of The Prince’s Trust, the boss of Careers England and the chief of the National Youth Agency to name a few.
Ultra Education was founded to inspire positive and lasting change in the lives of young people who would otherwise suffer from the disadvantage of their starting point. As such, opportunities for young people is a topic close to the heart of the organisation.
Speaking since the publication of the letter, Ultra Education founder Julian Hall said: “It is pivotal to support young people to develop new skills and enter into gainful careers and employment. We appreciate that the Covid pandemic has unavoidably had a devastating impact on the economy and opportunities but it’s important that young people are not forgotten or neglected as we strive for recovery.”
Ultra Education has recently committed to supporting employment opportunities for young people in the wake of the pandemic, taking on several interns through the government’s Kickstart scheme.
