The fashion world was rocked this week with the sad news of the passing of Virgil Abiloh. The entrepreneur, creative and visionary behind the Off-White brand and the first black artistic director of Louis Vuitton.

Born in Chicago and the son of Ghanaian immigrants, Virgil initially trained as an architect before going on to intern at Fendi with Kanye West, start his own fashion-label and take the world by storm. Virgil won a host of awards and accolades during his career including being named one of Time Magazine’s most influential people in 2018.

Virgil Abiloh has served as an inspiration and icon for creatives across the world; showing what is capable with a vision and embracing your passion.

Team Ultra have discovered a great resource Virgil created to help young people start their own fashion brand called ‘FREE GAME.’ The resource, available free on his website features advice and videos on a host of topics including: branding, trademarking, making a website, using Shopify and lots more.
