Stop the press! Team Ultra is ecstatic to have been shouted out by British entrepreneur, business magnate, and commercial astronaut Sir Richard Branson this week for our work with young people!
Sir Richard posted a message to his over 4.5 million followers on Facebook and 12.5 million Twitter followers this past Monday 24th April, which was an extremely proud moment for the team.
Ultra is thrilled to be a finalist for the Founders Unite Award, launched at the end of 2022 to find organisations working to tackle the systemic barriers facing entrepreneurs from Black, Asian and other minority ethnic communities. As a finalist for the award, Ultra will present our ideas at a roundtable event later this month.
A super-inspirational entrepreneur, Sir Richard started The Virgin Group in the 1970s and has launched over 400 companies under the brand in various fields including music, transport, food & drink and aerospace to name a few. He was knighted in 2001 for services to entrepreneurship, has been named on Times Magazine’s 100 Most Influential People list and has a net worth of over $5.7 billion.
The whole team at Ultra Education would like to say a huge thank you to Sir Richard for believing in our work!
Check out the Facebook post and tweet below. If you can, please share or retweet to help spread awareness about our work, so we can positively impact even more young people through the power of entrepreneurship
Ultra & Out!
Brilliant to see how @Ultra_Education is helping kids from minority communities find a path to entrepreneurship when the education system doesn’t serve them. Here’s more about their work, and the Founder’s Unite project from @VirginUnite: https://t.co/ADHkR5K3NF pic.twitter.com/FGJFK2ZXiS
