Recently, our kidpreneurs were fortunate enough to have Jason Wilmot, Head of Education at Canva, a fantastic online design tool deliver a special one-off workshop on how to utilise the platform to market your business. This one-off workshop covered an array of steps on how to familiarise yourself with the different elements of Canva and, most importantly, have fun!
Canva has been around for a while, sparking the creativity in people to use imagery to convey messages and express themselves. This graphic design platform gives entrepreneurs the ability to be creative; giving access to a plethora of templates, graphics and photos to choose from to create designs such as business cards, flyers social media posts and lots more. However, if you are new to Canva, the many tools, design options, and different text styles can seem very confusing.
In this masterclass, Jason breaks down how to use Canva and use some of its many tools. Jason discusses how learning to communicate visually will help set up your future, and how using Canva would help you become a better communicator. He also discusses the three most important skills needed when being creative, and how each skill supports that other.
Ideal for beginners; in this presentation, Jason goes through how to set up a Canva account, how to define the three levels of type sizing, and the hierarchy of text and lots more. Upon finishing this video you will learn how to select default designs to add your own content to it, or simply start from scratch by creating your very own design. You will also have the opportunity to experiment with the type of designs can choose from and the colour and elements in finding what suits your design.
