Alex Philip is one of a new breed of young entrepreneurs determined not to let their age hold them back.
The 14-year-old Londoner is currently turning over $30,000 a month and making $5,000 in profits, by sourcing products on Alibaba and selling them through Shopify, using drop shipping to simplify the process, and is on track to make $250,000 ($60,000 profit) this year alone.
His journey into business began at the age of 11, and he credits much of his entrepreneurial spirit and drive to his dad, also a businessman. “As far back as I can remember, whenever I found loose change anywhere my dad would say it was a sign that I would make loads of money,” says Alex.
