Ultra Education COO David Sobo will join a panel of guests for SHMA Talks upcoming panel discussion ‘Pride and Prejudice – overcoming discrimination in entrepreneurship,’ which will take place on Wednesday 2 February 2022 at 4pm.
SHMA Talks are a series of discussions where foresight, reactions, opinions and inspiration are drawn from some of the UK’s most influential leaders. The panel will be hosted by Sarah Walker-Smith, CEO of Shakespeare Martineau. Sarah is the first female, non-lawyer CEO in the legal top 50 and a trained accountant who has worked for PWC and Deloitte.
The upcoming edition seeks to explore how the panel members applied a different mindset to racial and disability discrimination whilst growing up, how they defeated the challenges to move forward and become triumphant business leaders in their own rights.
As COO, David is responsible for the day-to-day operations and strategic growth of Ultra Education in its mission to create lasting change and inspire children and young people regardless of background or social standing through entrepreneurship.
Given this mission, he has a passion for entrepreneurship and keen insights into inspiring and engaging young people from disadvantaged backgrounds in entrepreneurship, which he is excited to share, as well as details of his own personal journey.
David will be joined on the panel by Ninder Johal, CEO of The Nachural Group, originally a record label which has since diversified into brand promotion, events, and film production, as well as Mark Esho MBE an award-winning internet entrepreneur with a 15-year business background in the finance and management sectors.
