Ultra Education is an award winning Social Enterprise focused on helping all children to be
able to fulfil their life potential. Ultra Education does this by ensuring all children have
access to the personal development and employment opportunities available through
entrepreneurship. We deliver programs funded by State and Academy School Groups, Local
Councils, Housing Associations and Youth groups.

We teach young people about entrepreneurship in an innovative and engaging way, preparing them for the future of self-employment and employment. We have grown significantly in the last year and are looking
to extend our reach into our well established markets.

HOURS OF WORK Full time or possibly 0.8 Full Time for the right candidate who need to fit around family commitments.

SALARY Full Time up to £33,000 OTE, with a £27,000 base
OVERALL PURPOSE OF JOB Creating, progressing and closing sales opportunities for the core Ultra Education offers

What we want you to do
Achieve your personal target for new revenue from our existing markets to contribute
directly to the Ultra Education growth plan.

Following a period of new business development this last year, we have a solid pipeline of
existing opportunities for you to follow up and qualify. You will also generate and qualify
your own leads and those leads generated by our other marketing activities.

Your main priority is to close these opportunities and build an ongoing sales pipeline. You
will work closely with our inspiring leader and CEO Julian Hall, the Ultrapreneur. You will
develop high-quality relationships with key, influential individuals across Ultra Education’s
primary markets; Academy Group and State Schools, Local Authorities, Housing Associations
and Youth Clubs.

Your experience and credentials

You will have a proven track record in business development and sales, ideally in a public
sector, education or youth environment. You will be able to work in an independent and
highly motivated manner to achieve agreed objectives and sales targets in a period of high
growth. We would like you to have the ability to negotiate, influence and make sales at all
levels. You will be strongly supported by our CEO at the highest level.

We want you to be emotionally intelligent and intellectually bright, well organised, and able
to prioritise own workload. Previous experience of successful submission of tenders for
contracts and grants and an understanding of their profitability will ensure your success in
the role. Excellent written and verbal business communication skills with competency in
Microsoft and Google Office tools are also essential.

Education’s work. You must be able to relate to people from a variety of backgrounds and
have awareness, understanding and commitment to Equal Opportunity principles and to
working in a culturally appropriate manner. There will be occasional times when you will
need to work out of the 9-5 hours as part of the role, but home or remote working is
available.

A degree or professional equivalence in sales, customer care or other relevant area and at
least two years’ experience in an education or social sector position will be a strong
advantage. The successful candidate with have a high desire to progress in a fast-growing
high impact organisation and be able to take on more responsibility over time.
